Yes the Governor of Delta State; His Excellency Rt.Hon Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori needed to show gratitude to former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa having picked him from the very long list of Governorship Aspirants at the time but nobody should daré argue with me that the former Governor is not the one ruling the state by proxy...whether you accept it or not, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is in charge. He controls a greater chunk of this present administration. Let me be straight forward with you. For those doubting Thomases, your former Governor has the total atribute of an Awoist - the fundamental job of an Awoist is - "think yoruba first". For Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, it is "Think Ika first". Nobody gives former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa 98% loyalty and he calls you his own; he simply tells you to get lost by his attitude towards you. Your loyalty to him must be 100% and must be proven.
Like I stated earlier, Ifeanyi Okowa is in charge of this present administration in Delta and I will tell you why. Let me take them one after the other.
The Deputy Governor; Sir Monday John Onyeme is a brilliant Chartered Accountant and Politician though not too ambitious hence he was chosen as Deputy Governor over Okenmor Fidelis Tilije. This Ukwuani born financial expert is 101% loyal to the former Governor having proven himself as the immediate past Chairman of the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue - the position now being occupied by Governor Sheriff's number one loyalist; Chief Solomon Ighrakpata.
Dr Kingsley Eze Emu is no doubt a very brilliant PhD holder in Management. He can best be described as a bibliophile with several degrees added to his academic qualification. Dr Emu now serves as Secretary to the Delta State Government performing multiple role in making sure nothing goes wrong with the policy drive of the present administration. This Ika son reports every bit of happenings in the government to the former Governor. His loyalty to former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is 101% and had been proven over time.
Charles Aniagwu is not only brilliant but eloquently deceptive. With his background in Mass Communication and practice with DBN Televisión & AIT, Charles Aniagwu can eloquently paint a black pot white without touching it. This Ika son is good at his job and now seems like the only wiseman in the whole of Delta to occupy two very sensitive positions in this present government - Works & Information. By implication, there are no competent persons to take over the Ministry of Information or take over the position of Commissioner for Works (Rural & Riverine Roads). This Ika son is 101% loyal to Okowa and can do his best to maintain that.
If two Commissioners could emanate from Warri North like it had happened before in Ethiope West during the last Administration, why can't Olorogun Benson Odjiyovwi Okorodudu take over as Commissioner for Works (Rural & Riverine Roads)? I shouldn't suggest names so they are not indicted in my piece.
The Ministry of Environment has been purportedly sliced upon request.which made Olorogun Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu as former Commissioner for Environment never had his Ministry sliced. Why now? This Patani born Urhobo son is 101% loyal to the former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. Is the Ministry of Environment too big for her present Commissioner - Jamani Tommy Ejiro ? Ofcourse not! The son has cried to his father and his father puts a call across making this request to be given the juiciest chunk.
Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has his loyalists spread about this present administration. About 70% of the LGC Chairmen and about 80% of the State House of Assembly members are all loyal to former Governor Okowa. About 45% of the Commissioners are Okowa's boys. The Party structure in the state has about 85% Okowa's loyalist. Ofcourse Olorogun (Barr) Kingsley Esiso PhD did his final assignment before taking a bow.
While you gather to defend my analysis, I want you in Delta Central to think very deeply about this. You may call it whatever name but take it from me, Okowa is in charge. Over 59% of the best brains in this administration are carefully selected loyalists of Sen(Dr) Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa. Instead of coming here to argue with me blindly, I will advise you use your tongue to count your teeth by knowing that Delta Central is economically deprived in the state.This Government is naked to the Ika born genius.
