The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly (NASS), Sen. Ned Nwoko has promised to assist families of affected victims arising from the devastating tanker explosion that claimed lives and destroyed properties in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Recall that the tragedy occurred when a tanker carrying diesel lost control and erupted into flames along Old Lagos Road in Agbor.

The Inferno resulted in the loss of six lives and destroyed properties worth millions of naira.

Deeply moved by the incident, Sen. Nwoko had earlier issued a public condolence message and dispatched a delegation to meet with the victims' families.

The Head of Ned Nwoko's Senatorial Office in Asaba, Chief Ugo Asibelua who led the delegation expressed the senator's profound sorrow over the loss of lives and property.

In his remarks, Dr. Michael Nwoko, Senior Legislative Aide and Chief of Staff to the senator, emphasized the aim of the visit.

He noted that the visit by the delegation was to sympathize with the families and assess the extent of their losses to assure that Sen. Nwoko will provide necessary support.

"The senator, in his characteristic spirit of charity, will offer appropriate financial assistance to alleviate their suffering."

Dr. Nwoko urged the affected families and individuals to remain calm, assuring them of the senator's commitment to their welfare during this difficult time.

The delegation visited the accident site and the homes of some victims, including Deaconess Adomgbor Deborah, who tragically died in the fire while returning from church; Donatus Udoka, a generator mechanic; and Rashidat, a Bureau de Change operator from Kebbi State.

Coordinators of Senator Nwoko's office in Ika South and Ika North East, Mr. Stanley Ehiedu and Mr. Alfred Idehen, commended the senator for his consistent efforts to improve the lives of Delta North residents and Nigerians at large,
