Members of Miyetti Allah, Asaba chapter, have promised to synergize with security agencies and other stakeholders in the arrest of herdsmen involved in kidnapping and other unwholesome activities.

The Chairman of Miyetti Allah Asaba Chapter, Alhaji Musa Daru made the pledge while addressing members of the body in the Delta State Capital.

Alhaji Daru said they were all born in Delta State and have been in the cattle business for some decades and wondered why somebody rearing cows would start bearing arms to cause mayhem.

He appealed to Oshimili South Local Government Chairman and opinion leaders from different communities in the state to reconsider their appeal for them to be allowed to graze in some designated areas, pointing out that they were not in support of anything that would breach peace in the state.

Alhaji Daru thanked the Oshimili South Local Government Chairman, Dr Kelvin Ezenyili for agreeing to allow their members graze, emphasizing that they were in support of anything that would strengthen peaceful coexistence and overall development of the state.

He used the forum to thank Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for using the MORE agenda of his administration to transform all parts of the state and assured him of their support.

He warned those out to foment trouble in the name of grazing to stop, pointing out that anyone caught would be made to face the full weight of the law.

Also speaking, a member of the body, Alhaji Abubakar Falo said they were against crime and criminality in the name of grazing and appealed that their members be allowed to graze on designated areas.

Alhaji Falo said members of the group have always been at peace with host communities and expressed concern that the barbaric act of few should not jeopardize their business
