The Dein of Agbor, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Benjamin Ikenchukwu, Keagborekuzi 1, has commended Ika South Local Government (LG) Chairman, Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, for his visionary leadership since assuming office last year.
Dein Keagborekuzi gave the commendation on Sunday, when he visited the Chairman at his residence in Agbor.
The royal father, who said he had been closely following the activities of the young local government boss, noted that within the short period he had been in office, he had been able to make lasting impact through the many people-oriented legacy projects so far initiated and executed in different parts of Ika South Local Government Area.
He maintained that the Ehiwarior- led administration “holds the enviable record of starting and completing road and market projects in less than four months in office.”
Dein Keagborekuzi added that he was happy to observe that Engr. Ehiwarior was simultaneously building infrastructure and giving the people the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to building a better Ika South that everybody would be proud to identify with.
According to the Agbor Monarch, “The Chairman is gradually but steadily transforming Ika South landscape with numerous projects that will add value to the lives of the people. I can confidently aver that the chairman has shown capacity and competence, and has meticulously been carrying out the mandate given to him by the people of Ika South with all sense of diligence and comitment.
“His scorecard in both capital and human development is unarguably commendable. And I, therefore, call on the people of Agbor Kingdom, and, by extension, Ika South, not to relent in their support and prayer for this young man whose zest for optimum performance is unquestionable.
“I admire his remarkable courage, dedication to duty and strategic approach to governance which he has consistently shown. I am proud of what his administration has achieved, and the new positive story it had been able to create for Ika South. He is indeed a great inspiration to the youths, who should be encouraged to deliver more.
“I call on the people of Ika South to join hands and support him as he lays a strong foundation for a more prosperous and enduring development of Ika South Local Government Area.”
The king equally urged the people of Agbor Kingdom to remain united and resilient, emphasising that unity was of utmost necessity for sustainable societal growth and development. He stressed the need for all Agbor people, home and abroad, to always be proud of their heritage and rich cultural background.
Responding, the Ika South Local Government Chairman, Jerry Ehiwarior, expressed appreciation to the highly revered king for the visit.
He said the visit of the monarch, and the royal prayer offered for him would serve as a motivation to do even more, adding that he would continue to do his best in ensuring that he delivers sustainable development to Ika South Local Government Area.
