Anioma Women Movement (AWM) a political pressure group has lauded and appreciated, the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Ned Nwoko, over his kind gesture to the Anioma people during the yuletide celebration.
The Acting Senatorial Woman Leader, Mrs Nnenna Obuh who spoke to newsmen during the group new year's celebration noted that, the movement was in love and support of the respresentive and capacity style of Sen. Nwoko in advocating and addressing the needs of the people in Delta North Senatorial District and the Anioma nation.
Mrs Obuh noted that, irrespective of Sen. Nwoko's very tight and busy schedule, he still find time to put smiles on the faces of men, women, youths as well as children in Anioma nation through the distribution of gift items during the Christmas and new year celebrations. "Sen. Ned Nwoko is an epitome of theory and practical levels of representation. Nwoko’s leadership is a commitment to practical solutions for everyday problems". She said.
She further noted that, the movement appreciates and acknowledge the advocacy struggle by Sen. Nwoko for the creation of Anioma State.
According to her; "President Tinubu is aware of the extent to which Senator Nwoko has taken the matter of Anioma State creation and I want to assure you that the Anioma Women Movement is in solidarity and full support of this struggle".
"We will continue our campaigns by telling you that it is a done deal and truly the state creation is real and nobody should be deceived. In one of our meetings held with the Chief of Staff to Senator Ned Nwoko, we, the Women reaffirmed our resolve to equally sensitize the people on the level and need of Anioma State creation". Mrs Obuh stated.
Mrs Obuh noted that there was a great differences considering the leadership style of Sen. Nwoko and other politicians that have represented Delta North at the Federal level and State.
According to her, Nwoko’s legacy is etched not in the grandeur of political speeches, but in the lives of people he had touched. " So, that is why we will continue to thank God for giving us a son and brother who is the best Senator in Nigeria". She stated.
